Cablevision Boost
Adelphia/Comcast can't even provide me with the baseline, let alone power boost.
I'm lucky if I get 3mbit to somewhere within 500 miles, after that I'm lucky if I get 50kbit to SoCal.
Not on CRAM or whatever yet and the pings are horrid.

soon they are going to have fiber-optic service offering constant 50up/50down service
werdages it's in the developmental stages now... i'm pretty sure they already offer it for businesses
:edit:
actually, it's not fiber-optic like i though, but it's explained here: http://www.cablevision.com/index.jhtml?id=2005_11_07
basiclaly you get two simultaneous network streamsof 50Mbps up and down.

can we say neighborhood network?
personally 50/50 sounds amazing and all, but i can see it being wirelessly split between neighbors sharing the cost, and there would be little to nothing OOL could do about it because to them it'll just look like a home network.
