Default So I did it.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the new TV I bought, Samsung LN-S4696D (see this thread: Link)

Tested some 1080P Clips and it's super duper awesome. Tweaked a lil and even SD looks fantastic.

I'm so happy. $2867.xx OTD with 4 years in-home extended warranty service.

Thought about it, but it's good to have a piece of mind. Covered everything, even my own fault. I had my DLP went wrong before (3yrs after uses).

Thats why plasma >lcd in larger sizes...lower price better image. I tried but he was set on it.

Hope it works out good for you.

Thanks,

It's sad how a 46" costs 2900 while my 50" Panny only costs 1500.

I also listened to you and got the 50" Panny ordered for my Living room. h: The panny definitely is larger and cheaper, but image quality is not comparible to the Samsung. 1080p is absolutely stunning.

hahahahha................You're so Biased.

Each type is great for a reason, hence people are still troubled between the three.

By the way, +1 to BestBuy. My local BestBuy has improved A LOT (1000x better). I used to dislike them with a passion and didn't purchase anything from there for the past 5-6 years. However, during the last 2 purchases, I was extremely happy. Customer service attitudes changed totally.

The team from Magnolia theater is very helpful and gave me a huge discount (2400 for the TV while retaile is 3300).
