i have been wanting the new cingular 8525 for awhile now. my friend had her cell on my family plan & she lost her phone last week. she had a crappy little samsung that on ebay was going for new buy-it-now for ~$40 & doing an insurance claim on it was gonna be $50

so i decided to get my new one & then move my good old motorola v551 over to the line she had (she has decided to go get her a cricket & get off my family plan)

i had checked several of the sites including cingular, but decided i didn't want to do a 2-year contract extension, so i found a reputable seller on ebay & picked one up shipped ups 2-day for $450....granted i could've got it from letstalk.com for $350 & then $100 in mail-in rebates, but i decided i didn't wnat to deal w/ the rebate crap (heard some bad things about letstalk being slooooow on rebates) & didn't want to be locked in another 2-year contract

 

so u got the 8525?

 

yup....was gonna get the 8125, but decided to go for the newer 3g phone & be ahead of the game LOL

 

at least you didnt pay $300 for it

 

$450 + no contract > $300 & locked into a contract for 2 more years

was thinking about one of those metal ones, but somebody told me thought you have to take the phone out to slide the screen up to access the keyboard??
