even though i really like the metal case, i think i've decided to look into a leather case that'll cover the screen so as not to bust or scratch it if i bump into something :nervous:

 

on another note......

i stopped by the local cingular store today to inquire about getting my current # put in the 8525 (which will be here tomoroow YIPPEE) & have my current phone (motorola v551) setup w/ my other family plan number that the phon got "lost" last week

they said they'd give me a new 3g sim card for both phones & transfer the numbers over to each FOR FREE

also gonna up the minutes on my family plan & add a data package for the 8525. probably gonna let the girl use my other phone case she is on verizon, but all her friends are on cingular, so with my she'll have in-network calling to all them & her phone bill won't be like it has been here lately

well crikey!!! i just ordered a case like airon suggested & some screen protectors & the kingston 1gb micro sd card from the "deals" thread

maybe i'll order the metal one later

the case you just ordered should look the same as the one that comes with the phone. except the one you ordered is a little bit nicer.

 

it has a UPS delivery date of tomorrow

so technically, i just ordered stuff for it ahead of time as the phone will beat the accessories

Just so ya know, the only unlimited data plan that Cingular will allow you to get with your 8525 is the PDA Connect Unlimited for 45 bucks a month.

They have another unlimited data plan, Smartphone Connect Unlimited, for $20/month. You can only get it for the the 2125 (which I think is discontinued) and 3125. They're HTC phones with Windows Mobile Smartphone as their OS and no QWERTY or touch screen. 2125 is candy bar, 3125 is flip.

Cingular hasn't built 3g service here in Madison yet, so I picked up a 3125. They gave me a 3g SIM card to replace my old AT&T Wireless one, even though this is a 2g phone. At any point down the line I can pop my 3g SIM into another phone and keep on with the Smarthphone Connect Unlimited, which I'm pretty sure they will phase out since even with the Samsung Blackjack which has WM Smartphone (not WM Pocket PC like the 8x25) they make you pop for PDA Connect Unlimited.
