nah...the change in speed isn't instantaneous. It's elastic, so it slows down, stops, then speeds up in the opposite direction. It's not like hitting a wall or anything.
I'm willing to bet F1 drivers or fighter pilots endure many more G's than someone in that sling.

Looks like fun.
