Is it really worth it? So everyone's seen the comercials for UTI but i'm kinda sceptical...my wifes parents are going to pay for my college and i'm wondering to persue automotive engineering or just go to UTI for tech training...My grandpa taught for a year at Hot Rod U and he said for the first semester they don't even get their hands dirty so I dunno if I should even take tech courses...I might learn a few things but mostly I want to take it for a degree and possibly job placement with high end cars... input?
If you plan on designing cars I'd go with the auto engineering. If you plan on working and fixing cars I'd go with UTI. I just graduated last December and I can tell you right now this place is awesome for jobs. Lots of different kinds from diesel to auto. If you plan on going, plan on working hard and studying to get into a graduate program (MSAT). The core program is OK but the MSAT is really what you are paying to get into. Good luck with your choice
I guess this is a desicion I should have chosen along time ago but oh well...Anyone can learn how to fix/tune cars with trial and error and the internet...but not just anyone can design them...My promise to HAN is if I am ever in the position to design a honda, I will make the deminsions so screwed up that you won't be able to put a spoiler on it...I thought Honda had it with the CRX but failed.
