If you take it down to the Apple Store's Genius Bar, they might replace it on the spot. And since they have to replace it with the same or better, you might be able to get an even better MBP.

It's been known to happen. Applecare is awesome.

wow one dead pixel...seriously your probably not gonna get it fixed...ive got one dead on my new lenova....i got over it. its not actually mac's fault. its the process of creating the lcd's.

my new LCD had two stuck pixels, both red. one would disappear once the monitor warmed up. now it seems to be gone permanently, so i'm left with just the one. i haven't tried flashing it yet, but my brother did for a few stuck pixels on his monitor and no luck.
