Most times when they say impact, it means you or someone you are close to.

Homeless situation is crappy, I agree. You also have to remember how much of our aid is focused outside of our country. I'm just waiting for you to come back with something that is equal to um... death.. Top illnesses you hear about are Cancer and Aids. The deaths from the two far outweight deaths from anything you've come with so far. I don't think you can really get more serious than death.

having ur weeness chopped off and going through life is worth then death

i winh:

but no seriously...i do think the homeless situation is worse. why? because we really do nothing agressive to solve the problem. at least with cancer we are trying. and lots of people who have cancer go on to live healthy active lives....most homeless people find it impossible to ever get out of the vicious cycle and die a sad miserable life.

No doubt. I agree that significantly more could be done.

here's a better idea, why doesn't lance armstrong go and make sure that every dime donated to cancer research (after expenses) is actually being put to a legitimate use, instead of crying to the media that the goverment "ate my baby".. i know why, too much effort, not enough publicity.
Actually, the federal gov't still provides the vast majority of cancer research grants. However, what Lance Armstrong fails to say is that cancer/health related research funding currently outstrips every other area of research that the federal gov't provides funding for. So, a decrease doesn't mean that cancer researchers are running out of money.
