Burn in has been all but elliminated because of wobulation, a slight oscilation of idle pixels. Honestly, the HP is my least favorite plasma. For a few hundred more, the Phillips 42" has a much better picture. It's no Pionner, but it isn't half bad.

Plasma is going to be the most forgiving in terms of standard definition TV watching. Where ever you buy it, have them switch it to standard definition so you can get an idea of what it will look like.

Read the Pioneer White Paper report, it's long but well worth it if you're going to buy a plasma. Service Plan FTW!
