No, I don't think vista looks anything like osx.

OSX has an aqua theme, vista has a glass theme. Sure some people might think they look similar, but they are very different. I have a desktop with vista and Aero on it in the next cube.

I also have worked with Kubuntu with XGL/Beryl.... now you want to talk about some similarities.... aero looks very much like it was inspired and got many ideas from XGL/Beryl.
