Default so I went driving today!! 1st time in almost 2 years!

So yesterday i went for a driving evaluation that was required by my doctors so that they may allow me to drive again after my stroke.

It was a 5 hour eval with a program called "Adaptive Driving Service", with an ocupational therapist, and a driving instructor. So yea i got there at 10, and the OT began to test a few things like my depth perception, my vision, how fast i can process information and react (for road signs and stuff..) my strength on my good arm, my grip, if im color blind or not hehehe, so yea all that and i gave her my complete medical history.

Then the instructor came and we reviewed all the things she had asked me, she filled him in on what he shoukd watch outfor while im driving. Then we went to his car a buick regal,h: and 1st we started driving around the residential areas. Then we went on the expressway. Then we went into a parking lot and i had to park in a few spots, finally we went on a freeway, then back to the place. We reviewed how it went and he pointed out a few things i should work on and said i was good to go . So yea i can basically drive now, i just need a car and the left foot gas pedal and steering knob!! im soo happy!

congrats...........so when we cruising for chicks?

any long term effects from the stroke?

my neighbor at my parents house had a stroke near thanksgiving and it seems to have effected the left side of his body.
He has function of his arm and leg but I guess with re-hab he should be a.o.k soon.

Wow, that's great man! Don't mean to get too personal, but you are very young to have had a stroke. I wish you all the best of luck on your recovery.
