Your VantageScore is: 779 on a scale of 501-990. Your Risk Grade is: C

Percentile: Your credit rating ranks higher than 56.79% of U.S. consumers.

Weird scale, but whatever, gives me a general idea of where I'm at :dunno:

went to www.annualcreditreport.com

click on the link that says request your free report, fill in the info, and choose one of the three bureaus. you'll have to pay about $6 at the end of the report to get your actual score

i fully realize that scores are going to vary from place to place, so that number could be higher/lower than what i just got, but im hoping its a good indication. went to Experian's joint this time.

anyone else recently check theirs?
what did you do within those 13 months that shot it up that high?
I've been working on fixing mine and within 5 months its went up 60 points.

when i first moved out from college, i opened up 3 different new lines of credit cards and almost maxed out each. stuff like furniture, work clothes, and other necessities. since then ive paid off thousands and and have low balances on all my cards. no late payments. several of the max credit amounts of my CCs almost doubled, and ive paid my car payments all on time. and plus i havent opened up any new cards

i guess it all added up :hs:

Well, I checked my credit report but didn't feel like paying for a credit score. Hm...it says better than I thought.
