Yea, get a shallow bowl and pour anti-freeze in it. Anti-freeze smells sweet and animals love it, it also tastes sweet too. Give them about a minute after ingesting it and they're dead. Just make sure no cats or dogs are around.
And yes moth balls work very well too. Just scatter them throughout the house.

Problem is when the animals die, you'll have a hard time locating where the dead smell is coming from, and you end up LTing yourself.
