I do, but I dont need to, nobody's gonna come into my house in the middle of the night with a gun.

Canucks have nothing worth saying in this matter.

still, maybe you feel safer owning a gun.

but I feel safer not owning one.

Do you not trust yourself? That'd be the only reason for not feeling safe around a gun. As long as you obey the 4 general rules of firearms, a firearm will ony make your home safer.

truer words never spoken!:hi5:

guns are completely safe. safer than most things out there that people never think twice about. its people that arent safe because they dont follow common sense

a rifle is the worst possible home defense choice you can make....if you know anything about guns its painfully obvious as to why.

shotguns are ok, but if not properly converted or made for home defense use can be a poor choice.

handguns are and always will be the best choice for home defense.

its the simple fact about how easy it is for someone to lose their life over the thing that makes me weary about them.

I'm sure if I really wanted one, I would be able to take care of it and keep it safe so that no one can gain access to it. but then in an emergency, do you really have time to go to the gun safe?

and honestly, how many guns do you have open access to right this moment? at least one? how many times have you used your guns in actual self defense?

seems not a week goes by that I don't hear about someone's kid accidentally killing themselves or someone else. thats one thing I fear. not to say that would be a problem, but thats one problem I don't have to deal with.

then again, I've had a few negative experiences with guns in my youth, so thats probably more to do with my personal feelings. but what does it matter how I feel? plain and simple, I don't like them and I don't need them.

again, agreeing to disagree. do what you want, cowboy.
