Well it is time to take her to the favorite hunting grounds and plant her where she was happy.
I mean no disrespect but if she is suffering it is best to use a 45 cent solution than have some doctor nail you for a bill and prolong the suffering. This way you can also make your peace with it.

Yea my collie was 14 when we had to put her asleep, few hundred dollars too. We found her one day just laying at the door. All she could do is blink and move her eyes.
Glad we put her down though, she looked in pain.

I had to put my beagle down this summer. He was 15. Back half went paralized for some strange reason. I feel your pain, just do what is right for the pooch. Quality of life. My condolences.
