The Chargers are going to be a force in the playoffs if they continue to play like this. They've got a hell of a killer instinct. The Broncos got it reasonably close in the 3rd qtr, closing to 28 - 20, but then the bolts just turned it up a notch. Same thing last time they played the Broncos - Broncos were up 24-7 at the half, and then the chargers just came out and lit up the scoreboard the second half.

I can't believe my Broncos used to be in 1st in the AFC west at 7-2.... 4 losses in a row FTL.

So whats the talk in denver about Shannahan's decision to axe Plummer in favor of Cutler? I think it was a stupid idea.

Chargers defense is one of the top in the league. With Merriman back, they're going to be hard to beat. They can run the ball, pass the ball, and hit you in the mouth with their defense.

Chargers will be the super bowl team from the AFC.

Most people are happy. Jake has just looked so bad this season. The only people with worse passer ratings than him were rookies. Cutler didn't look very good in his first game, but he really didn't look any worse than Plummer had in his last several outings -- and he's only going to get better, whereas Plummer only seems to be going downhill. Cutler looked pretty decent in the Chargers game (17/30, 188 yds, 2TD, 0 INT, 97.6 rating). He also looked a lot more comfortable than he did last game, throwing the ball away when it was appropriate and making some incredibly sharp passes.

Basically, most people here feel like Plummer wouldn't have done any better these last couple of games, and that getting Cutler this experience is the best thing for us in the long run. Our team has a lot of other problems that can't be rectified by just a QB.

That one TD was a gift, and should have been an INT. I agree with you on Plummer, though. He has looked terrible for the most part during the entire season. Everyone knew that they wouldn't do anything no matter who their quarterback was, so they might as well play Cutler and have him ready to start next season with some experience under his belt.

Hmmm, I never thought of it that way. You raise a valid point

I will admit that some of the plays yesterday by the broncos offense were damn good in the 3rd quarter. They just didn't have 4 quarters in them.
