Default computer peeps

im looking for a software that allows me to pull printer information via our wan & lan. specifically serial numbers.
telnet lacks that information so hoping maybe a network printer sniffer?
I searched for that and the free trial software i download doesnt appear to be what im looking for.

I don't think there's a standard response by a printer that would give something as specific as a serial number, so it'd be proprietary to the mfgr. If they even made one.

Like HP might have software to poll the network but it wouldn't find other mfgr's, etc.

Probably be quicker to call someone near it and ask them to read it off.

if all you have are HP printers, i know HP used to have software that would find all the HP printers on your network.
