I'd have to disagree. Mainly because on several occasions I've found that the wiki for something actually had more info than other sites. Or at least all the same info from other sites, consolidated together.
You shouldn't be using internet sources for papers in the first place.
most of the time wiki has valid information, but the fact that anyone can post things on there may cause people to feel less inclined to believe what it says
