Default Home Amp

I'm looking for an Home audio amp that is stable at 1 or 4 ohms to power a dual coil 2 ohm sub. 500-600 watts per channel would be nice. I can't seem to find one any suggestions?

most if not all home stereo systems don't run ast such low ohm loads. they are usually high like 6 or 8, but i have yet to see one at 1. and if you are trying to hook up a car sub to a home amp, the sub will be so under-powered and will probably fry the amp

my home receiver can handle 4 or 8 ohms..... but its 100/channel.

finding a 500/ch home amp will be costly

Moved to the Basement. But like others have said...thats a huge amp and will cost you :hs: I probably would just get a new sub, maybe something with a plate amp already on there.

I like their car audio stuff, and from what Ive read, their home stuff isnt shabby.

eD makes good stuff. Their subs are a lil overpriced though.

However, as much as I hate this, I think I'm going to sport the Infinity Cascade 15 subs really soon, as soon as we finish remodel the house. If I can get it for 800 bucks

But Tyler, to answer your question, check out www.parts-express.com

Dyton makes great amps for home-build subs.
