i hear u on the heat. i finally broke down and got a space heater sunday. my living room/ dining room is one large room. i have my hamster out there. i got this heater for her. Holmes HCH4954 model from target. $40.
your thermostat may not be accurate. they can be way off what they show if its a typical dial. u may want to check the temp around the area of the thermostat see how accurate it is to the thermostat setting. my ac is more accurate as far as coming on where it is set. the heat varies alot as to when it will come on.
