Yeah I think this has been posted here before. I always make sure to check that my shit is done when I take it to Firestone. So far they have been very honest.

 

want it done....do it yourself.

i never take my car to anywhere, unless i can NOT fix it.

Once a year I go to an oil change place only so I can get a printed record of my mileage for my credit card that gives me $.01/mile...and I watch them like hawks :squint: they're all trying to screw people.

any thread like this is automatically a repost because it's just common knowledge that they screw people over. But it's not really their fault people are idiots and can't do proper maintenance.

 

go over over to vtec.net and try to say that...last week I got hell for it. There was a guy who had a shop put a comptech SC on his Civic (paid like $6500 total) and his SC drive belt ended up blowing and he drove like 40 miles with the car overheating...dude didn't even know what the coolant temp gauge was or meant. I said that that's what happens when people throw wads of cash at a shop to have their cars heavily modified and they have no idea what's going on or how anything works, stuff gets fucked up. You'd have thought that I was walking through Jerusalem with a swastika armband.

 

it's not their fault that people paid them for a service they didnt perform?

not every1 has the time or ability to do things themselves...so dont make others (like myself) feel stupid for not being able to maintain their car...

If that's the case...dont eat out anymore...same shit could happen there too, do you know what goes on in that kitchen?

not every1 can be car enthusiasts and know what's in their car....that's why they take it to some1 they can "trust"
