depends on what size power supply your laptop requires.

check your power brick, it will tell you. keep in mind the amp requirements of your laptop. if the inverters amp rating is lower than your laptops power brick, then the laptop will charge slower.

yeah and inverters and the DC bricks are inefficient as hell. probably end up with a total efficiency of like 25% or something, although in the end it doesn't really matter cause juice from your car is more or less free.
