So the Broncos released their 12 year veteran punter Sauerbrun today. He was suspended for 4 games for taking ephedra. The rookie punter Ernster has played great in his absence, and I'm sure we are paying him the league minimum instead of whatever salary Saurebrun commanded.
Sauerbruns agent said:
"If it had to do with winning football games, they would've kept him on the roster," Canter said. "He's one of the best. He's disappointed. He feels he could've been a catalyst on the team."
:chuckles: I really can't see a punter as a "catalyst," especially since Ernster seems to have done a better job at pinning guys inside the 20.
