Pulled my first shift
yes, they are very strict in our county about wearing gear, uniform, t-shirts, or sweatshirts outside of the department. i'm sure if it was a picture taken from drills or something then ok. but delibertately posing is what they want to discourage. our academy leader guy got some kid kicked out of a strip club for wearing his station shirt there :lmao:
yeah i had just fallen asleep last night when we got the aid call. stupid EMT's
h:
edit: speaking of EMT's.. when my friends and i were 18/19 we were hanging out in a grocery store parking lot trying to get someone to buy us beer. a truck full of drunk EMT's (one still had his drink from his house in hand) pulled up and got us da booze. heh emt=failure.

Honda Honey, I have a story for you....
About 4 years ago, my ex roommate (who actually died in a very 'Leaving Las Vegas' scenario. I held her hand until they turned off life support) had a seizure while getting out of the shower. As much as I don't wanna say, I freaked out. She was all of size 1, and barely breathing. I dialed 911 and eventually ended up speaking to a guy from the fire department. I was running a thousand miles an hour going nowhere, when he literally slapped me with a, "AYE!!! CALM DOWN!!!!" Everything froze at that moment, and I listened to him, and did everything he told me to do like an extension of his limbs. I feel that everything went ok because he did that. Before I put the phone down, (his teammates were coming up the stairs) I thanked him for verbally slapping me.
I can tell by your posts, that you'll be able to helpfully "slap" those that need help in the right direction.
Your job is no joke, and I'm glad you're on that team.
