i took guitar lab my last 3 years of high school just because. haha. i'd go to the library and print out a bunch of tabs and learn popular songs. that was fun.
I have a priority list in life and guitar is not #1.
youve been doing it for TEN YEARS, or so you say. play ANY musical instrument for more than a few weeks and you'll get a grasp of at least a few notes, minimum. this has nothing to do w/ your life's priorities, so either youre totally oblivious or you havent been playing for eight years

I just play in my spare time. And when I learn new things, I just use tabs. It's that simple. I've played all the chords thousands of times. I just don't use E, A, G,... I use 355433, etc.

:hugglez: i love you. just giving you a hard time.
but seriously dood, you should at least know the names of the chords you play, and if you do, take it a step further with finding out the notes? im not a fan of people who do things w/o having even a basic understanding of what it is theyre doing. and besides, if youve ever re-strung your guitar youd have to know the names of each string

lol, I know the string names! I do have a basic understanding of music. I've taken a couple classes on music theory, and played a couple instruments for school. I know a thing or two about time signature, chord progressions, thirds, fifths, and random crap like that. I'd love to learn but i've had zero time for the last 5 years, and the five years before that I just didn't care...lol
