Wii release date and price revealed.
does anyone know what the online capabilities are going to be.
Wii-mote
360 = halo 3 and XBL
halo 3 = awesome
360+XBL 1 yr +halo 3 = probably $525 still less then ps3 but still way to much for a video game.
I have great respect for the ninetendo games ex. zelda series, mario series, and metriod series. They just don't do it for me though. I know all probably get bashed for saying this, but does anyone else find zelda and mario to be very similar games...

apparently, although the Wii can play full-size and 3cm DVDs (like gamecube), nintendo scrapped DVD playback functionality that they promised..
their reason was to bring the cost down, and that everyone has a DVD player already. the last bit is probably true, whether it's a standalone DVD player or computer... but the Wii can already read DVD discs, meaning it has the hardware. how much would it have cost to include DVD video playback?

Yea i agree, but you have to admit.....this is going to be the best NINTENDO system ever and best selling since it's so cheap.....I'm for PS3 all the way but i won't mind owning a Wii
Apples don't, or at least mine won't. say's not to in the manual. That's the only slot loader I use on a regular basis, so so I didn't know that they had the capability to accept those.

It was easier to use 1 player instead of 2, especially if the tv only has 1 set of A/V jacks.

there are slot loading drives that can take the smaller discs. some car stereos can do it, and i think the apple notebooks with slot-loading drives can
