I've narrowd my search to a 2005 Subaru RS in Silver. It seems I can get one pretty cheap ($15,000) with low miles, and I really like them. I decided I didn't need a STi right now.

With that said, I can't find a RS in silver anywhere near me, lots of WRXs.

However, it seems that the market is flooded with 05 WRX's and they are going for cheaper than the RS. Which doesnt make sense...

Anyone have a clue why this would be?

Those are soooooooo slow. My friend had one as a loaner when her rex was in the shop and it was HORRID.

We beat the piss out of it none the less.

Why do you want the RS over the WRX? If around you the WRX's are cheaper than the RS's I don't know why you wouldn't just get the WRX.

I have a feeling people beat the piss out of a WRX and are just trying to get rid of it.

The RS has better gas mileage, and it's basically the same looks. I just want something to get me around. And i plan to have it for a long time, i don't want to run into turbo problems.

fair enough but I know a bunch of older (40's, 50's or so) people that drive WRX's. Some of them may beat on them too but I bet you can find one that you are confident the owner didn't beat on. If worse comes to worse you can always get the RS but I can't see paying more for it.

Go with the WRX. The stock turbos arent't very prone to failure.
