do you ever...
hear people drifting from one language into another during conversation? I'm working the front desk and there's this lady that will speak 90% of her phone conversation in spanish and then randomly say a phrase or sentence in english here and there. It's kind of strange to listen to. :hsugh:
I took spanish for 1 semester in Jr High and my teacher would go from English to Spanish to French to German to Japanese to a combination of all of them.
We would tell her and she'd just laugh and say her mind slips from language to language. The next year she was taken to the funny farm.

Sometimes when you hear that it's because there isn't a saying in their language that is similar to the English they use.
I will drift from English to Spanish, Russian, or Arabic sometimes
