My CPU is my hottest thing too. My HDD's and my video card are both under 90 and my case is at 80.

Depends who you talk to. Some people consider 60C as a redline. Some people freak if it gets in the 50C+ range.
I wouldn't go over 60C. With an average of 35-45C is decent.
60 degrees Celsius = 140 degrees Fahrenheit
50 degrees Celsius = 122 degrees Fahrenheit
45 degrees Celsius = 113 degrees Fahrenheit
40 degrees Celsius = 104 degrees Fahrenheit
35 degrees Celsius = 95 degrees Fahrenheit
30 degrees Celsius = 86 degrees Fahrenheit
77 degrees Fahrenheit = 25 degrees Celsius
Those AMD X2's are really cool. Nicely efficent.

it depends on the processor type since different ones have different critical temps.
your temps are fine.

the Pentium Ms in our IBM's automatically underclock themselves at 90C and cut power at 100 C
mine runs at around 60 @ 1.8Ghz and 50 @ 600Mhz
ive seen it go to 85C when gaming.
