my moms side is japanese, but born here (great grandmother was the last to be born in japan - 1900).
dad and his family are from canada... grandfather from norway, grandmother from scotland.

Short Answer: German & British, with a few remnants of Welsh and Dutch.
Both sides emigrated to the US in the early 1800s, eventually settling in the Pacific Northwest.
Long(er) Answer: [spoiler="..."]On my father's side, the lineage traces back to about 1600, coming from northwestern Germany, near Bremen. That's where a bit of Dutch entered the bloodline.
Had things played out differently, my last name could have been Viedörfer.
