if you have the right room and you dont want the messyu wires or the extra speakers why not. I recomend buying it somewhere they have a 30 days satisfaction waranty. If you dont like it bring it back.

I think that thing has sound delayed timing. Not all speakers project at the same moment, certain speakers throw sound in delayed intervals to give you a surround sensation without having remote speakers.

I'm sure that it does, but those types of systems have a tendency to sound weird if not properly set up to the rooms acoustics. It takes a lot of experimentation to get it right, and most people want instant gratification right out of the box.

Best Buy has this thing with a pushbutton "demo" of it. Too bad you aren't in an enclosed room with places for the sound to bounce of of to create the rear channels... Its just on the side of an aisle. Anyways, the sound never wrapped around me... It made it a lot farther back than normal speakers would have, but for 700 dollars you can even get a decent home theater in a box or the beginnings of a piece by piece built system.

Cool if you don't have the space for rears and don't care about, I dunno, the rear channels coming out of rear speakers
