In theory yes, but usually only a General would be called back at the age, or maybe a highly regarded E-9

My friend's father is a Military trained doctor. At age 57, I believe he was called in. :hs: He may be high ranking as well.

I don't think that is true. That amounts to a military draft. Once you fufill your contract, you are done.

I know, stop loss is a breach of contract too, but somehow they get away with that one. I've never heard of anyone other than IRR getting called back.

I have, and it can happen. Read the contract, it say whenever you are needed, you will respond, not whenever you are needed till you are done with your contract.

I found out today that I am exempt from the recall because I have been out for less then a year. Whew

I also found out that they will give you 5 months advance notice. At least they don't expect you to go ASAP. Also, the duty is 12-18 months.
