I have the 120 and it is a great unit but the 130 has an external antannae adaptor that is very useful.

I highly reccomend the units made by Garmin over most any other brand, Magellan is shit and I would strongly suggest you not buy their units at all. I use my Garmin just about all the time with no issues, I broke a Magellan in less than a week due to a failure of the unit and no fault of my own.

That Nuvi is a neat gadget and it works fine in a vehicle that stays on the roads. I would not suggest it if you tend to go off the beaten path on unmarked areas or offroading at all.

Yeah I kinda figured with your other interests you were looking more for a handheld unit and more off road centric than was being offered.

exactly what i was looking for. something for when i get lost on the back roads in the middle of nowhere.

i like that it's a two-way radio too. this seems very beneficial:

"The integration of two-way radio and GPS enables users to transmit their position with a simple button press, allowing others to navigate to their position."

Yeah anyone using a Rino system can transmit their location to you or you can transmit to them. Pretty cool especially if you are in heavy tree cover or out on the dunes.

Why? You can enter GPS coords into it.
