Why don't you focus on becoming an automotive CAD design artist then instead of changing oil all day long?

Because I already have 5 years experience in the publishing field. I'm not saying I do oil changes all day long, I'm just saying that's my only other option other than staying at my current job as a plate tech because I'm never going to go back to typical teenage retail jobs.

oh man, sorry to hear about this.

just realize everything happens for a reason. What's going down isn't anything that's your fault.

...well if that's your only other option then you should probably broaden your horizon and experience. Unless you want to change oil or work for $7 an hour at Target.

To do that I would indeed need to go back to school, which would mean I need a job that pays more than 7.50$, which leads back to me being fucked in the ass by my current job.

It can be a never ending fucked up cycle that way. But you may be able to get a student loan that isn't due till after your finished with school. There are options. A descent school will work with you in the financial area. I thought the same as you for a long time but now I'm just getting started on going back to school.

It's near impossible for me to get financial aid for the Boston school. They do some thing where it's like family income, statistics and number of family members. It's just me and my mom, she's a RN, and our house is paid for and so are all of the vehicles from a setlement we got when my dad died from Mesothelioma(uh, sp).

maybe not much in the way of grants or scholarships but I'm sure they could work out something in the loan department. You should talk to one of their admissions counselors. You might be surprised with what they can do for you.

I talked to them around this time last year. They said I'm not eligable fore aid, but if I want a loan I could most likely do that with a fixed rate and you can pay the principal first. But the whole four years is around 48,000 which is way over my head.

I need to be financially stable and probably a little older before I tackle something like that.

bummer. I figured that some places will deferr the loan until your out and have a stable job. A friend of mine told me that was one of his options.
