Death
Warning: It is a touchy subject so read with caution.
With science making advances each day the life span of an average person is close to 80. People with a little more money can prolong that to 90. Now if the time came would you choose to die of old age or would you choose to take your life when you were no longer a normal functioning human. I choose the latter because I don't want to be a burden on my children at the time. Sure it sounds senseless but its a lot less painful to see someone wither away than to suddenly wake up and find them gone.
What is everyone else's opinion?

I've always said I don't want to live for that long. When I say it, people think I'm crazy. I see old people that can barely walk and I don't see the point. You can't use the bathroom, you can't eat, you can't sleep, you're in pain all the time. I honestly think that we're not meant to live that long. I say about 60 years or so.
If I start becoming like that, it's gonna be assisted suicide for me.

I think that after about 60 or 70, there's really no more reason to live other than to love and be loved. Whatever you haven't accomplished by that age will probalby be a physical burden on onesself.
Also, If I were in a position where I was kept alive by machines, I'dn't want to live. Whats the point of living if you can't do it by yourself?

I don't see the point of extending life when the time of the extension would be spent barely alive. Why drag out the inevitable and make it more painful for everyone involved?
I've already got a DNR order, so that should answer your question.

My grandmother is 84 and she still lives her life like everyone else. She functions perfectly and excercises every day and loves her life. I don't see why people can't live longer and enjoy their lives. I think if you just have a positive outlook and keep your body in shape then life can still be great.

Personally, I don't think life is good enough to be worth wasting your time trying to stay in shape, and not eat stuff that you like.
I'd rather live a short life and relax, eat what I want...then die of a heart attack at 50. (that's just me though)
