i think when people do that it makes it look like a minivan for some reason. the car is clean though. tint the fronts some and it will look good.

w00t!

hawaii allows 35% on front, rear, and rearview windows. any percent tint is allowed on the front windshield at the top 4". however reflective tint is not allowed at all. :noes:

edit: come to think of it... last time i took my car in for safety check the tint was at 28%... maybe it's time to have it redone!

the %'s on tint work the other way around

EDIT:
The number you will most commonly see is the VLT% (Visible Light Transmittance). Almost all the official names of films include the VLT% within it like Johnson Executive PBC30 or Madico Charcool CH-55. VLT% tells you how much visible light is allowed to shine into the car, and also indirectly how dark the tint looks.
