the a/c guy tells me you are supposed to leave the a/c on
he says you should set it to 85 when you are away and 78 when home. when sacramento hit 110 i turned it on and i think i froze it cause all that came out was hot air. the a/c guy told me that the a/c can cool up to 15-20 degrees and nothing more. why can't it work like car a/c's that are cold no matter what

i don't know why people can't just turn it off while they're out of the house for a long time. sure, it'll be hot when you get home. but you can just turn the a/c on and wait a little bit.
i dunno about that only cooling 15-20 degrees. where i work (pleasanton), it hit around 114 degrees for a few days, but inside the office was nice and cool. but a house/apartment/office is quite a bit bigger than the interior of a car, so it takes a lot more energy to cool it down. :dunno:
