i've flip-flopped between the two over the years... i dont really have a preference, both have served me well.

I have the ATi Radeon 9600-something. I think it's powered by an AMD chip...:dunno:

what i mean to say is it's not. ATi is a GPU manufacturer. they made your GPU with the R300 architecture that was praised as one of the best and ahead-of-it's-time GPU's ever released.
