meh, you can't blame the chip producer when the mafucacturing companies screw up. they are only providing the chips for most of these cards, they probably only make 2% of the cards that have their chip in it. and many of those cards are OEM products only.

i have not had a problem with my x800, (except for the fan clicking, which is caused by me always using it and it's orientation in my case~ but other than that it's prefect.

i just bought a dell E1505 laptop with a x1300 card and i'm expecting the same quality.

I like ATI cards, but their software and drivers suck big ones.

 

i'm hoping i can find another video encoder other than their proprietary software that will allow me to use the X1's transcoding features

opposite for me.. dont really care which one i have between the two.
