at least thats the way it works in Missouri
In Louisiana, the gun can be concealed in my vehicle even if I don't have a CCW (which I'm sending in the app for this week) as my car is an extension of my home. Also, there are no laws against having a round in the chamber in the car. That'd be for safety only but would also mean it would take longer to be "ready."

I spy a Fobus paddle holster. Have you tried out the Blackhawk Serpa retention holsters? I hear from a lot of leo's that it's a pretty good holster. I know some people(including myself) who had(s) the Fobus one. They're good for the money but after a while, it doesn't 'hold the gun firmly' after extensive use.

it's going sit in the car so there won't be a lot of drawing/holstering going on.

also, it's the roto (non-paddle) holster but i needed that particular one for the mount.
