Default segway

Wow, first time I saw a Segaway in real life.

Thing is huge. The wheels have got to be 13-15 inches. The guy got it, probably, because he has major trouble walking. So this is ideal for him.

He was just standing there swaying back and forth, turning from side to side. Looked effortless. Really cool stuff.

when I was in Disney a few weeks ago there was a place at Epcot where you could ride em for like a minute. Tough to initially get on the thing but once you get your balance you push the balls of your feet down, you go forward. Stand straight up to stop and there is a thing on the left handle bar to turn left or right. Definitely sweet. They have an off the road version now too.

I used to work in Bedford NH, right near the Segway company. One of the woman's husband would always bring it into the office and let people try it. they are a lot of fun to ride. a little ackward at first, but you get the hang of it real quick. no matter how hard you lean forward or backwards, you won't fall.

every once in a while, all the hippies in this town get together and go for a naked bike ride, and there was some old fart with a sock on his shlong riding a segway in the last one.

have you guys see the crazy atv type thing they have? I saw vids of it a while back and it looks like a ton of fun to use, and it looks like it can move at a good clip. I tried finding a link on the site, but couldn't. I do know it was a prototype so it could just be sitting on the shelves for now.
