So my car shit on me again...
I would not buy that car. Those cars have the worst depreciation I have ever seen. Its just a money pit...say you get something in the Toyota or Honda lineup for 16k...you can get a certified preowned car that will come with warranty.
He sees the following:
1) Semi luxurious
2) Newer car
3) Japanese build (which doesn't mean shit with that POS company)
4) Bang for buck
5) Remainder of warranty
What he doesn't see is:
1) 33% of Mitsubishi is owned by Chrysler, the same faggots who keep killing your van
2) Chrysler motor
3) Chrysler transmission
4) Cheapo build quality
5) Horrid depreciation
6) Terrible dealer network/service
7) Reliability
8) The Mitsubishi Badge

Just to prove my point, I bought my 98 ls with 36,xxx miles for $14ish after tax, title, and tag back in November of 02. It was a lease return, CPO so it had a 4 year, 100,000 mile warranty from a Acura dealer.

Wait let me guess. You were first in line to see the new Fast and Furious movie, then googled "Honda" or "Acura" when as soon as you got home then started posting here.
Hmmm... I talk about gas mileage, no mods, looks and convience over the speed I really care nothing over since I go from A to B with the car. I talk about how I am looking at it also cause it still carries the warrenty. But yea... good job at proposing I am a ricer  Read over what I wrote then get back to me on where you came up with your garbage. Or just don't post again. Either way works fine.
Anyways. If Mitsubishis are really the money pits that you guys say, then I think I am going to lean towards something else. Anyone have any CONSTRUCTIVE ideas towards what I can put my $16,000?

I guess I'll be looking at the pre owned Honda and Toyota family as well... like some of you mentioned. I was leaning towards those before I took a look at the Galant.

I heard about it but nothing too much yet. I think its a cool little car. I rather stay away from fresh off the lot though. I don't like knowing I lost a couple grand the moment I get off the pavement on the lot.
But I have been with Honda for almost 10 years now... and other then some brake problems recently nothing too bad really.
