Default this makes me angry, MA =

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/07/11/bigdigdeath.ap/

BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Three-ton concrete panels fell from the ceiling of Boston's Big Dig tunnel, killing a woman in a car and shutting down a section of the massive building project that has become both a central route through the city and a source of construction concerns and cost overruns.
i still don't understand how more heads haven't rolled for this disaster of a project. thank you, Massachusetts, and all you corrupt liberals that supported this project.

more info, in case you feel like getting angry, because, after all, all you guys who pay taxes helped pay for this garbage as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_dig

I havn' read the article yet but are they blaming the inferior cement used in construction (i think it was Agregate co. that supplied it)

Very true that things like this piss me off. But ya know, i've stopped caring, there is nothing you can do about it. I already know someone else is bankin most of our tax money, its the way the world works. If they wern't bankin our money, then they could have spent more time/resources building that thing....

They're never, ever going to finish that project.

actually, in this case, they're saying that it was a steel tieback that broke, not the concrete that gave way. although you're right. it's known that shitty concrete was used in this project. the whole thing is just a farce. you'd think something that cost $14.6BIL, when it was originally estimated at $2.5BIL, wouldn't be riddled with problems. but that just goes to show you how corrupt things are around here. reason #1,674,126 why i don't want liberals running this country.

oh, and it hasn't helped traffic all that much.

i also have to lay blame on the idiot protestors that resulted in the cancellation of the I-695 project, back in the late 60s or early 70s. thanks to their shortsightedness, we're now still dealing with immense traffic, and this farce.

At least you have options. I-76 has absolutely no hope because it is a two lane expressway built between a mountain and a river. The only way Philadelphia can ease its traffic concerns is to build another highway on top of the existing one.
