this is actually true. pure breds are more likely to have problems, dependant on the breed of course.
but i've found that in all the dogs i've seen, most of the time the mutts always tended to be smarter and healthier.
It's the opposite for me. My purebreed sheltie is smarter than my basset/lhasa apso mix. If you get a purebred from a reputable breeder, then you should have no problems.
Ultimately, I would love to own a Siberian Huskey. However, because I am uncertain of where I'll be going in the coming months, I don't want to get one then get rid of it for reasons (apt rules, moving stress, vet bills).
