i was in a long distance relationship twice. one for 1.5 yrs, the other 1 yr (but had already been together for a yr before for a total of 2 yrs on that one).

only reason why we broke up was cuz of personal character issues, never about circumstances. sure it sucked we couldnt see each other at convenient times, but we made time for each other.

the only reason why i see long-distance relationships as NOT working out is if theres some serious trust issues or the 2 people arent really committed to making things work. im not in one now, but if i were it wouldnt be a problem, just so long as i knew that it wouldnt be too long before we could relocate to a permanent spot for the two of us.

plus i wouldnt get w/ someone id think would be tempted to fool around w/ other doods, cuz i would never want to mess around w/ other people if i really cared about the person i was currently with.

 

damn. the furthest i've dated was 15 minute drive (6 miles).

Actually, no. That makes things worse cause it GREATLY increases the chance of a billion and a half guys trying to seduce her. The more guys going after her, the more she'll want to play the field.
