yea i saw that on the news, fox 25 had their helicopter taping and i saw an integra passing a couple cops, i was like "wtf!?!"
I think they should put more information about emergency vehicles in the driving tests. Because I'm constantly seeing people pull right out in front of ambulances or police vehicles. I mean it should be common sense to stay out of thier way IMO but I guess some people just see it that way.

You forgot one really important thing they always teach you in driving school: The order of a police officer trumps all posted or prima facie motor-vehicle regulations, all signs and all traffic signals. If the cop ordered you out of the breakdown lane, then you leave the breakdown lane. The sign means nothing. If a cop points and you and then to the left, then guess what? You turn left.
And for whoever asked: Passing on the right is legal in Massachusetts on a one-way street or a divided highway, or when a car ahead of you is turning left.

in driving school, do they also teach that when a cop blows a fuse, goes absolutely spastic, and basically verbally assaults you, that that is the same as when he "points and you and then to the left"?
