Default How does one clean concrete?

so i've decided to surprise my girl freind and clean up her entire balcony. Problem is that she live on the 16th floor and there has been dirty and smog and all kinds of shit accumulating on the concrete and brick walls. I cant use a water pressure cleaner thing. All i have is bucket, water, my arms and Home Depot. any ideas?

I also can't just paint it cause i would need the landlords permission and it jsut a bitch. but i am gonna put some of that green grass carpet thing.

Bleach. If you don't want to use straight up bleach, there are lots of cleaning products that have bleach-like stuff in them that will get the job done.

um, unless it gets hit w/ a 200lb bomb, i dont think her concrete will start to burn. only thing id be slightly concerned about would be if the concrete is painted at all, then it might get discolored. but im sure that otherwise it's made to take a beating. and you dont need to hose it down, just scrub off w/ a huge wet rag.

I would dilute it then. Don't just pour straight up acid on the concrete. You probably won't need anything that strong anyways.
