Pete's Official Road Trip Progress Thread
Current Location:

It is Microsoft Streets & Tips with the USB GPS reciever that came with the software ($80 for the complete package on Amazon).
Anyway, last night had a very interesting twist. We followed the GPS' directions and ended up getting lost on these strange roads on this indian reservation near the Grand Canyon. After a while we saw 4 cars in a line coming from the direction we came from and figured they were also heded for the Grand Canyon. They were... but it was to a hiking trail/campsite absolutely in the middle of nowhere. We asked some guy in an RV where the hell we were and he told us exactly how to get back and gave us a map. Stupid GPS! So we unhitched the trailer and spent the night in the CR-V (most uncomfortable
), but it was so nice out, there was no ambient light so you could see literlly thousands of stars in the sky. When we drove back today we could see the roads it told us to take because it was day time and they were these dirt roads for a nearby ranch that is closed to public access. Anyway, tonight we will either stay in Albaquerque or push on into Texas if the girl decides to do so. Grrrr, I need a friggin shower.
