I asked about this in the teg forum about 7 months ago. I have yet to find the fix for it, and it has come back. My Oil light in my car is blinking. Yes it has oil in it. December of last year it was doing it and i had a new sending unit put in and the pressure was checked and it was fine. I dont know what else to check or how to.
Another thing, the light blinks two different ways, i dont know if it means anything or not. Some times its just plain off and on. Then the light stays on and blinks brighter....on and off that way. I dont know if the two mean something different. Last time it just quit by itself, its been doing it for about a week now and i dont know what else to try with it.

 

I was going to suggest oil sending unit, but if youve already replaced it, kinda a tough call. Lemme think about this for a bit.

what about just a simple relay? are all the other lights in your dash working? are you losing oil?

 

lost power? No it hasn't lost any power.... just annoying light going off. want to see whats causing it before it f's something up.

 

You know it could be a relay. Right now i think it needs a starter relay. When i get in it to start it in the morning i have to hold the key over about 10-15 seconds sometimes before it will even turn over. Yes all the other lights work. Including the ABS light which stays on all the time (its a spedo sensor) and the first time the oil light came on last week the CE light came on also. But it hasn't came on since then.

What relay could be making the light come on?

 

u may have a lose connection for the oil sending unit.

 

Thats gonna be the easiest thing to check first i think..... i'll check it this afternoon....

 

Long starts could mean your TDC sensor is going or oil may be leaking onto the spot point for it. Happens in Jeeps a lot usually when the rear main seal starts going bad on them.
