Wheres the cheapest place to get a laptop? I am going away on vacation and want to take one with me.

Cheapest dell with 512mb ram I could get is over $600. But I also couldn't find any rebates or coupons.

Yea, cheap like ~$300. I want something with at least 512mb ram, at least a 1.5ghz cpu and 40gb hard drive, WiFi 802.11/b/g. DVD playback would be a big plus too, but not nessesary.

Mainly so I can get some internet and email from a hotel, maybe a dvd here and there if the hotel doesn't have a dvd player in the room.

 

you might get lucky on something used, even at that your asking alot for the price.

I know there are some on the internal IBM site that are turn ins, there are a few for right around 300 bucks, and they would be covered under IBM's limited warranty...lemme know if you want me to send you some linkies
